Travertine

Travertine is a unique stone that comes in what is known as filled and unfilled. In other words, travertine has naturally occurring holes throughout the stone. Some people prefer unfilled travertine for a more rustic, earthy appearance, while others prefer the smooth finish of filled travertine, that is, travertine with the holes filled. Travertine can have a honed (matte) finish or a polished finish and comes in a variety of colors.
